Ian Poulter was the first European to arrive at Celtic Manor, a day before his team. The 2008 Man of the Match and this years WGC-Accenture Match Play Champion told Sky "I've been excited since February.”
Commenting on the event Poulter added "There's nothing else like the Ryder Cup. It doesn't come close to a major. We're out here playing for Europe and that means everything. In a major you're just playing for yourself, so there's lots of added weight to your shoulders this week."
