The man everyone forgot to remember before next weeks US Open, that’s Lee Westwood, sounded a “shot across the bowels” of the opposition (as my old Grandad used to say!) by beating the tar out of them at the Nordea Masters in Sweden.
Westwood followed in the footsteps of Hunter Mahan by switching to the Ping Nome putter and winning with it in its first week. We previewed the Nome with one of the designers Marty Jertson of Ping back in January at the PGA show. Here’s Marty chatting about the technology within.
Is the Ping Nome that little bit too heavy to win on the ultra slick greens at Olympic Club? We’ll know next Sunday with both Lee and Hunter brandishing the branding iron!
