Veteran TV sound producer Marty Bunkum sitting in a trailer two miles away with a pair of headphones on and just two weeks short of retirement, didn’t fare so well.
The impact of Sergio’s iron on the microphone caused a sharp sound wave measuring 225 decibels; instantly deafening Bunkum. There is a silver lining however; Sergio made a bogey and it looks like Marty Bunkum will have a quiet retirement. Very quiet!
