Rors is selling his “dream” pad in the Moneyreagh hills near Belfast for a £2 million asking price. Belfast is in Northern Ireland which is situated on the island of Ireland, the wettest place on planet Earth. Does he mean “wet dream”?
The 560 square metre house, built in 2006 and bought by McIlroy in 2009, has a custom practice ground on 14 acres with USGA rough, the road hole bunker and greens that can reach 12 on the stimp. You could even play a spot of tennis or have some friends around for a 5 a side soccer game on the grounds, if it stopped raining long enough.
It’s believed the house is very similar to the standard of house you might find in West Palm Beach Florida where Rors now rents, expect it doesn’t piss rain all the time in Florida.
Rory gave the BBC a Tour of the house a couple of years. Ironically it started to, you guessed it, piss rain right in the middle of the video. Click here to watch video.
Let’s face it, why the feck, given the choice of living in a beautiful mansion, in a gated community, with friends and celebrity neighbours, the Sun shining, and your parents and mates from home popping in on the Lear jet every week, would anybody choose to live on the island of Ireland?
A word to the auctioneers. Best of luck trying to get the 2 mill. Not a hope!
