A doff of the cap goes to Jiyai Shin who braved, let’s face it, “mental” conditions to win the Women's British Open at Royal Liverpool.
Apparently Captain Sig Hansen and the crew of The Northwestern from Deadliest Catch sent a letter of congratulations to Shin following her win saying “conditions on the golf course made the Bering Sea look like a duck pond”.

Shin turned a three-shot lead after 54 holes into a nine shot win after everybody else basically gave up and went home.
