Jordan Spieth 10/1
What’s not to love about Jordan Spieth? Okay maybe he doesn’t drive it that straight, but this is the one Major where that doesn’t really matter as much as you might think. Spieth’s T2 on his debut in 2014 was as workmanlike as it was impressive; he was level for the par-3’s and 4’s then made his score on the par-5’s. Nobody hit more greens in regulation in 2014 either. Add to that winning form at The Valspar and an exciting chase down of Jimmy Walker in San Antonio and you cannot ignore Jordan Spieth on your Masters betslip.

Bubba Watson 10/1
Its official now, not just an anomaly; lefty’s do better at Augusta. It’s easy to tip Bubba given his wins in 2012 and 2014 but I like him more for the foundations of his Augusta form in recent years. He has been in the top six players in the greens in regulation stats for his last four Masters. He has also been exactly eight under par for just the par-5’s in his last four Masters. That is a massive advantage. Form wise since winning the WGC HSBC Bubba has gone close in Phoenix (T2) and again at Doral (3rd). Now 36 years old I can see in Bubba a guy who has played Augusta several times the wrong way but now has figured the formula that works. I can’t see why more of the same wont earn him a third green jacket.
Dustin Johnson 16/1
Last year the eyes of the golfing world were on Dustin and he missed the cut miserably. DJ had his problems then, which he has since come through to his great credit, and after going close at Pebble Beach (T4) and even closer at Riviera (T2) he got his victory deservedly at the hugely difficult Doral. T13 is his best Masters result to date but now under the radar is in the form (and the right place mentally) to have a fantastic week.
Henrik Stenson 18/1
T4 at Doral, 4th at Innisbrook and 2nd at Bay Hill; could this be the week for Henrik? He has four top-4’s over the last two years in the Majors but Augusta hasn’t been the happiest hunting ground for the Swede. That being said he has improved his finish there over the past three years (T40, T18, T14) and this season has become one of the top greens in regulation merchants on the PGA Tour. If that putter behaves, I think Henrik has a great each way chance at 20/1.
Jimmy Walker 25/1
Broke the run of 19 different winners on the PGA Tour by adding the Valero Texas Open to his Sony Open win but its Jimmy Walker’s preparation for The Masters that has really impressed me. He was spotted down there in February learning the green complexes and said after winning in San Antonio that he was heading down again to spend this week back at Augusta to complete his recon. T8 on his debut last year and showed great patience even when he fell on several of the courses trip wires. Money each way says he will do better this year now that he knows where not to step!
