Every year it's the same. The six round mind funk that is the European Tour Q-School brings more stories of golfing misery than any other event.

Brian Keogh at the Irish Golf Desk reports how former Tour winner Peter Lawrie disqualified himself after his third round in Catalunya.

At 10 over for the tournament through 11 holes of the third round, his race was run long before he mistakenly took what he described as an incorrect drop from a tree that wasn’t physically attached to the stake next to it on the par-five 12th.

The post also notes that Peter expects 22 starts next year but wont be relying on invites.
