A strange fan threw a ball with an earplug attached at Rickie Fowler on the 6th green at the Wells Fargo.
This was bizarre during the first round of the Wells Fargo Championship. As Rickie Fowler was walking on the 6th green a fan threw a golf ball with an earplug attached at him.  Needless to say Fowler wasn't pleased and confronted the man who insisted the ball/earplug was "a gift."

Rickie Fowler and playing partner Rory McIlroy describe what happened.

It all reminds me of the strangest incident I have every seen on a golf course; the time a guy threw a hot dog at Tiger Woods.
