Although I don't have Patrick Reed at 33/1 in my Top-5 picks for the 2015 WGC HSBC Champions event in Sheshan this week, my course insiders at the venue agree that he may be worth a bet.

Based on practice rounds and range chatter, my contacts say Reed is looking every bit the part of a potential winner this week.

The American showed form in Hong Kong with a T3 finish then scored a T10 at the birdie-fest that was the CIMB Classic in Malaysia last week.  Reed ranked T7 in fairways hit, T6 in greens hit and T46 with the putter there.

The fact that putting has never been a key stat in Sheshan might add credence to the theory that Reed can win this week.

I'm sticking with my five but that's what my guys on site are saying! Dont say I didn't share the info.
