In 2007 I embarked on an all Ireland golf fundraiser for cancer charities and I know how tough it is to get first get publicity and then raise money.  So today I'm happily putting my shoulder to the wheel for my friend and head pro at Lough Erne Lynn McCool's St Patrick's Day cancer charity project.

Lynn and friends want to raise enough money to buy a house in Belfast to help those travelling long distances to receive cancer treatment.

The fundraiser takes place on St Patrick's Day (March 17th) at Lough Erne with golf, loads of entertainment, lighting the clubhouse green and a night golf challenge.  Even if you cannot make it you can give £5 here.  Every donation helps!

Here's the official details, numbers and links

Cancer Connect NI 100K PROJECT (click here for Lynn's facebook page) starts off at Lough Erne Resort & Lough Erne Golf on St Patricks Night.
An exciting fundraiser to be enjoyed by all the family. Great entertainment in the clubhouse and competitions on the 18th hole of the Faldo Course. Don't miss NIGHT GOLF USA performance.
Should you wish to dine be sure to pre - book a table in the Loughside Clubhouse Tel: 00 44 (0) 28 66 323230.

A spectacular scene will take place as the Lough Erne Resort will light up in green for St Patricks Day.
You don't have to be a golfer to join in - its all for fun and a great cause. We have prizes for every category and if overseas and can't attend then you can still donate online and we will nominate someone to hit your shot!!

The 100K PROJECT has an end goal to purchase a house in Belfast so those travelling can stay in the comforts of a home away from home when travelling long distance for treatment.
For a minimum of £5 donation you can help reach the goal and make a difference
