Perhaps because the BBC are reporting this there could be some element of truth to parts of this story but I'm not buying for a second the yarn that 59-year-old American amateur golfer Patrick Wills scored three aces on his way to a 57 in a tournament at Laurel Hill Golf Club in Virginia.

The odds of achieving two holes-in-one in a single round are approximately 67 million to one, and the odds on three are well into the billions.
In fact Wills, who plays off a handicap of plus four and has won the tournament 20 times, statistically had more chance of winning the lottery - 14 million to one - than of achieving this feat.

Ya right. Pull the other one. It has bells on it!
