Tension was high during the third round at the US Open after an unsavory incident involving Phil Mickelson and some spectators.

On the 6th hole a group of distracted spectators stopped Mickelson mid swing and angrily asked him to be quiet.

"This is a Major Championship, we have spent millions of dollars to get here and spectate, so Phil Mickelson should at least have the common decency to stop talking during his golf swing," said angry patron Paul Cominsky. "I mean we are out there grinding hard in the sun then yammering Mickelson comes along and feels he has to fill every second of airtime with the sound of his own voice. It's very distracting and makes it very hard for us to focus."

More as it emerges.
