Tom Watson will not be in the World Golf Hall Of Fame anytime soon.  It seems unimaginable but he turned down his induction in protest over his friend Ted Bishop's sacking.

Now can anyone remember why Ted Bishop was sacked from his position as president of the PGA Of America?  Something to do with a tweet to Ian Poulter right?

The answer is that Bishop fell on his sword over tweets defending his mates Tom Watson and Nick Faldo against comments Ian Poulter made in autobiography. Bishop compared Faldo to Poulter's Ryder Cup record and tweeted: ‘Yours v His? Lil Girl.’

Looking back, the treatment of Bishop was way over the top and Watson is not one for forgetting.
"I couldn’t accept in good conscience because of how the PGA mishandled the firing of my friend and immediate past president of the PGA, Ted Bishop," he said.
