It's a limited field at the Nedbank Challenge this week so instead of a full betting preview with guys at short odds let me point you in the direction of five players, all with odds of 20/1 or greater, that have genuine claims on the title.

Doc's Five Longer Odds Players To Watch At The 2016 Nedbank Challenge

Andy Sullivan 20/1

One of the real stars of the European Tour this year and rapidly becoming my favourite player. That go to little fade off the tee makes every course playable for Andy and I fancy he can top off his year with another win.  Second to Rors last time out at the Tour Championship but made him work hard for the win.  Debut here.

Emiliano Grillo 22/1

Set to have a big year on the PGA Tour in 2016 after winning the Web.com Tour Championship and becoming a fully fledged champion a couple of weeks later at the Frys.  Then came over to Dubai and showed the European Tour what they are going to be missing next year with a T4 at the DP World Tour Championship. Super strong GIR game will be perfect here.

Thongchai Jaidee 28/1

Don’t let a 77 in the final round of the Tour Championship put you off Thongchai this week.  Since winning the European Open the ex Thai paratrooper has been in very solid form, including a T3 at the BMW Masters.  Top 10 here in the last two stagings.

Russell Knox 22/1

Will go under the radar this week but brings serious form to the Gary Player course after winning the WGC HSBC Champions event and finishing T2 at the OHL Classic in Mayokoba.  Debutant also but has the game for the track.

Ross Fisher 28/1

Solo second here to Danny Willett last year and high in confidence after a good end to last season with a T3 at the WGC HSBC.  Ross took a few days off and feels fresh and ready this week.
