DeLaet. Honesty about his chipping yips.

When I was a kid I used laugh at guys who said they had chipping yips; I thought it made up.

Now as an adult who used play comfortably off 3 handicap but gave up the game for six years due to the chipping yips I'm not laughing anymore.

Which is why I empathise completely with Graham DeLaet who has had to pull out of The Memorial Tournament because of anxiety while chipping.

He tweeted

I'm dealing with incredible anxiety while chipping/pitching right now. It's not fun. I needed to WD to get it sorted out and get back ASAP.

The 34-year-old Canadian has had a decent season so far including a T5 at the Valspar but his form of late had tailed off noticebaly.

Here are Graham short game stats for 2016 and it's clear to see, there is a problem. Lets hope he can find a solution. And share it with the rest of us.  And hats off to him for his honesty. Tiger Woods was clearly suffering from the same thing last year but hasn't been so candid.
