Golf back in the Olympics might be short lived.
Not me saying this but IOC member Barry Maister on a New Zealand radio station echoing the sentiments of a committee that regret ever letting golf back in.  It sounds like the IOC were told the top guys playing were part of the deal of getting golf back in.

Maister told Newstalk ZB

"I don't like it and I don't think the sport should be allowed to continue in the Games under that scenario.
"Once they've got in, they have got to deliver.
"Just getting in with your name, and then putting up some second or third rate players, is so far from the Olympic ideal or the expectation of the Olympic Movement.
"The Olympics is about the best, and they pledged the best.
"Quite frankly, any sport that cannot deliver its best athletes, in my view, should not be there."

As of now McIlroy, McDowell, Branden Grace, Oosthuizen, Schwartzel Leishman and Scott have all withdrawn due to not being bothered fears over Zika with Jason Day expected to pull out next week.
