Defending Champion: Matt Wallace

Defending Champion Matt Wallace returns to Denmark now a bona-fide world star after a T3 at the PGA Championship. Too tight really to back at 10/1 pre tournament, but big kudos to him for committing to the event.

Doc's Top 5 Best Each Way Bets

Erik Van Rooyen 20/1

Winner in waiting and for me this guy is headed for big things. Consistently churning out results on the European Tour this year (in Malaysia, India, Morocco, China) the South African will come to Denmark pumped after a T8 at the PGA Championship. Solo 5th last year.

Thomas Pieters 16/1

Impressed without contending at the Byron Nelson and it was much the same story last week at Bethpage where he recovered from an opening 74 to post rounds of 70, 71 and 69 for a top 25 finish.  If the Black Course didn't cause the Pieters volcano to erupt I very much doubt Himmerland will! T10 here in 2017.

Jordan Smith 18/1

Winner of the 2017 European Open Jordan Smith looks very much like he's in the form to post a second Tour victory this week. Jordan's formline of T7 at the Maybank, T14 at the Hassan, T5 in China, T6 in Southport is bolstered by his stats which show he has been in the top-6 Greens In Regulation in each of those events.  Just needs one good putting week to break through. T20 here last year and rested coming in.

Paul Waring 50/1

Comes in off a T6 at the British Masters and is trending upwards on my stats curve across Driving, Irons and Putting combined.  That's usually an indicator of a big week and Paul will have happy Scandinavian memories after his 2018 Nordea Masters win just over the bridge in Sweden.

Richie Ramsay 60/1

Found form in China with a T14 and carried it on with a solo 5th at the British Masters. One of my favourite European Tour players, he could sneak into a place this week.

Long Odds Glory Shots

Winner last time out Marcus Kinhult gets no bookie love at 70/1 this week and Robert MacIntyre who also played well at Hillside is 110/1
