Tiger Woods may not have played any golf whatsoever in the lead up to next week's Open Championship but as ever he's leaving absolutely no stone unturned in his preparation.

For the past six weeks Woods has been waking at 1am and travelling to the local Supermax prison to take ice cold showers with the inmates.

Speaking after emerging from Block 2 of Coleman Supermax Penitentiary this morning Woods told reporters,
"That was really really tough. The freezing cold water is really really helping me prepare for the shitty weather in Ireland. And the knowledge that if my soap slips there could be trouble is really really helping my nerves. It's a lotta fun in there."

Woods plans to travel to Portrush next Thursday after dropping the kids to school and collecting the dog from the vets.

More as it emerges.
