Police have renewed their appeal for information regarding the Hong Kong Open after it was last seen being bundled into a van in Kowloon City yesterday.

The Hong Kong Open was last seen being bundled into a van.

Eyewitness reports say the Hong Kong Open was walking down the street Wednesday around 7pm when a white Toyota Hiace van approached and bundled it in before leaving at high speed.

"The man driving the van wore ridiculous coloured glasses as a disguise," one witness said.

Officers would not be drawn on the rumours that they have surrounded a carpet warehouse in the Chuk Un area and are sweeping under it for the missing tournament.

"Our primary goal is for the Hong Kong Open to be found safe and sound" said PC Jack E Chan who is heading up the investigation.

More as it emerges.
