Doc’s Five To Watch

Henrik Stenson 10/1

With Rory McIlroy the firm favourite at 11/2, I see value in Henrik Stenson at 10/1.  Finished in solo fourth, just one shot shy of the playoff at Innisbrook last week to match his T4 at the difficult Doral before that.  Indeed the Swede has been in the top 15 in his last four outings thanks to some incredible Greens In Reg. stats that are making it all possible.  Seventh appearance at Arnie’s event; T5 in 2014, T8 in 2013 and T15 in 2012.  He’s the man!

J.B. Holmes 35/1

Managed a T10 at this event last year in nowhere near the form he’s in now and I think J.B. Holmes can win this week at Bay Hill.  Nobody deserves a “W” more after a T2 at The Farmers, T10 at Pebble Beach and solo second at the WGC Cadillac.  Big chances.

Sean O’Hair 60/1

T10 last year and did well in this tournament back in 2009 and 2010 when he finished in the top three in both years.  The bookies still don’t fancy Sean even though he has improved his finish in his last three events; a T29 in Pebble followed by a T25 at The Honda and a T2 last Sunday at The Valspar (lipped out for the win on the second playoff hole).  I think they are making a mistake; O’Hair has been inside the top 10 in the putting stats in his last three events and that will be crucial here.  Knows how to get the job done.

Keegan Bradley 33/1

Great record at Bay Hill with a T3 in 2013 and solo second in 2014 but needs one great putting week.  Showed good signs at Riviera (T4) that he still has it but missed the cut at The Honda and was T38 at Doral.  Rested and ready, Keegan’s course form gets him the tip.

Kevin Na 40/1

Did everything I could ask of him last week with a final round 66 at Innisbrook to claim another top 10 finish to go with that in Doral.  Top 15 in four of his last five appearances at Bay Hill with a T2 in 2010 and T4 in 2012.
