Doc's Top 5 To Watch

Tommy Fleetwood 20/1

Began to find form recently at the Trophee Hassan II (T17) where he started to really pepper the greens and continued it last week at Genzon where Tommy led the field in greens in regulation stats on his way to a solo third.  Genzon was also the host of last year’s China Open where he finished second.  A changed venue this week (as is traditional now in China) but Tommy Fleetwood is bang in form.
PS Could he look any more like Tyrion Lannister!!

Wade Ormsby 35/1

A six under final round at the Shenzen International last week gave Wade a T11 finish.  That was his fourth top 11 of the season to date with a T9 in Morocco, T7 in Thailand and T11 in Malaysia.  Something has to give soon for the super consistent Aussie.  Was among the best combined in fairways and greens hit last week; that’s the kind of golf that brings results on any course.

Mikko Ilonen 40/1

Brilliant China Open record but finding 2015 a struggle of late on the PGA Tour.  I thought Mikko did great with a T23  at the difficult Doral in the WGC Caddy but then missed the cut in Houston and again at The Masters.  On the flip side he likes his golf in China. T8 in 2014, solo second when Brett Rumford ran away in 2013 and T4 in 2010.  Don’t count out the rested Fin.

Julien Quesne 50/1

Also tipped him last year but could only manage a T19 at Genzon for us.  This time around Julien is coming off a T4 at that same venue and looking strong in what is a very open field.  T24 in Morocco and T8 at the Africa Open.

Tom Lewis 50/1

Gaining confidence on a cut streak of seven, Tom Lewis finished like a train last week with a 66, 69 for a T4 finish.  Real form in the greens in regulation department has yielded Tom four top-30’s in his last five starts and he looks a great each way shout at this 7,296 yard Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club.
