Let's just hope those "personal reasons" are that the WGC is a pain in the ass of an event to play in for Phil Mickelson and nothing more worrying.  

Lefty waited until late in the day to WD from the revamped event at TPC Harding Park which will now see 16 groups of four play in a round robin format starting Wednesday.

We will see Phil again at The Memorial and the St. Jude Classic, as part of his build up to the U.S. Open at Chambers Bay.  Mikko Ilonen became the final player to make the field yesterday.
