Butch Harman said Woods performance at Chambers Bay was like going to Wimbledon and watching Roger Federer struggle to clear the net.

Tiger Woods +6 on Friday got very little TV coverage but was an improvement on Thursday's nightmare 80.  It's still only Woods fifth missed cut in a Major albeit the second time in his last three major appearances.

Woods last US Open MC  was in 2006 but his Thursday 80 at Chambers Bay was his worst score to par in a major since turning pro in 1996 though he did shoot an 81 (also +10) during a freakish weather day at the 2002 Open Championship.

In 18 years up to this year Wood went 1,241 rounds with just that one round in the eighties. This year he has shot three rounds of 80 or more in 16.

Woods new world ranking is expected to be 205 next week. Sad to see him struggle.
