Aw this is sad, I had Jim Furyk as one of my favourites for The Barclays this week.

Poor old Jim only hit 25 shots before being forced to shake hands with his partners and withdraw from the event with an injured left wrist. Before yesterday, the last time Furyk withdrew was in 1995 at the Western Open.

He has played 477 full tournaments since.

Ironically this weeks course is the one he shot a 59 on in 2013.  The encouraging news for Furyk is that he still has enough points to advance to next week's Tour Championship.  He did however deem himself  "very concerned" citing a sharp pain in the wrist since hurting it in Wednesday's pro-am.

Get well soon Jim.
