With Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth jointly topping all the betting for the 2016 Majors, I thought it was worth taking a look at Tiger Woods odds.  After showing signs of life towards the end of this year then opting to have another corrective back surgery, Woods utterly confusing yet fascinating quest to win again will continue.

2016 Masters: 28/1

The 2015 US Masters was a watershed Major for Woods. He smiled his was through it, hugged his fellow players, defied everyone by picking his ball off the hallowed Augusta turf without even the hint of a yip and was contending in fifth position after 54 holes.  Since winning his first of four green jackets in 1997, Woods has only ever been outside the top 20 twice in 17 visits since.

US Open 2016 Oakmont: 20/1

Woods missed the cut at Chambers Bay in 2015 with rounds of 80 and 76 and with his much documented trouble with his driver, in particular hitting it straight, it might seem like another US Open success is a longshot.  But when you consider it's being held at the "impossible" Oakmont Country Club where Woods was runner to to Angel Cabrera in 2007 maybe those odds are logical.

Open Championship 2016 Troon: 33/1

The last of Woods three Open wins was in 2006 but he did play well and contend in 2012 and 2013. He is 33/1 for the 2016 Open Championship at Royal Troon. Woods was tied ninth there in 2004 when Todd Hamilton was the surprise winner after a playoff with Ernie Els.

US PGA Championship 2016 Baltusrol: 28/1

Woods is 28/1 to win the US PGA Championship which returns to Baltusrol in 2016.  Woods recovered from a disastrous start there in 2005 to climb to T4 by the end. Phil Mickelson won.

What do you think? Is he worth a punt?
