GCD have lots of sources in Augusta this week and the inside word coming from the players and caddies is that Masters Tournament organisers were somewhat embarrassed by last years low scoring, and are VERY determined not to have a repeat.

While the overall length of the course will not altered, my trusted sources are saying that the greens have been specifically targeted as a defence this year.  Even on the practise days the greens staff had the putting surfaces running incredibly fast and a heavy cut and roll regime throughout the week mean they are set to run even faster during the tournament.

With strong winds also forecast for the first three days, players and caddies predict a winning score between 5 and 10 under and nothing near the 18 under achieved by Jordan Spieth last year.
