While the Ryder Cup opening ceremony was taking place in Minnesota, the ashes of one of the all time greats of the game, Arnold Palmer, were being ceremonially flown one last time over his beloved Latrobe Golf Club.

After a simple family ceremony Palmer's ashes were then spread in an area behind the swimming pool beside the 10th tee alongside his wife of 45 years Winnie who died in 1999.

Gerry Dulac was there and took this picture.

He also snapped a rainbow that popped up to remind of Arnie's colour and character.
