** Update 3.10pm. Jason Corrigan was in touch to say that Rory McIlroy has not "officially" pulled out of the Turkish Airlines Open and the Tour will decide whether or not to cancel the event in the next 24 to 48 hours. **

This is another dark day for the sport and tourism industries in Turkey after a terror attack resulted in first Rory McIlroy withdrawing from the Turkish Airlines Open and now European Tour officials are meeting to decide whether or not to cancel the event (according to my sources on Tour).

Around a dozen people were injured by flying glass in a terrorist explosion yesterday close to the town of Antalya in southern Turkey where the event is to be played.

News of first losing Tiger Woods, and now Rory McIlroy will come as a hammer blow to tournament organisers who saw this as a chance to show all that's good about Turkey.

More later.
