Alex Noren came up like a thoroughbred on the rails on the at Wentworth to fashion an incredible final round of 62 and win the BMW PGA Championship.

Playing well behind the leaders and outside the top 20, on the newly toughened West Course, the Swede's Odyssey PT Prototype #1 putter was on fire throughout, circling four birdies on the outward nine and another four coming home. The record breaking round, and essentially the victory, was sealed when Noren hit another stunning Callaway Apex Pro 2016 iron to the 18th green followed by a four footer for eagle.

A two hour wait to confirm the win followed, and with rain falling and conditions becoming tougher it was Francesco Molinari who emerged as Noren's nearest challenger two shots back.

Henrik Stenson showed he's returning to some of his best form in time for the US and British Opens with a T3 finish alongside Hideto Tanihara and Nico Colsaerts.
