It's bad enough that Sky Sports are pretending like the PGA Championship doesn't exist after they lost the rights but it was panic stations for millions of golf fans across Britain and Ireland last night as the BBC's promised "red button" coverage from Quail Hollow never materialised.

We  were all flicking between The News and the World Athletics Championship shouting "where's the Goddam red button??"

Instead some tech savvy people on social media advised us to "tune in" our Satellite Boxes to the correct BBC channel. Didn't happen!

What the BBC failed to tell us is that the red button would only be available on the main BBC channels, and the regionals feeds supplied across the UK and Ireland would not support the service.

Instead we were left with Eir Sport coverage where the US commentary team was just shockingly bad.

We finally got one hour of coverage at 11pm on BBC and it was super to hear Mark James getting it bang on as always!  We love you and miss you Beeb!

**Thanks to Declan Furlong who informed us that BBC Red Button is also shown on Sky Channel 980. That's the most help so far!!**
