Sergio Garcia has been released today from the remaining years of his TaylorMade contract.

A statement earlier said after “a memorable 15 year partnership with Sergio Garcia, we have mutually agreed on a release from the remaining years of his TaylorMade contract. It has been an honor to play a role in his performance throughout his career, including The PLAYERS Championship, 19 worldwide wins, Ryder Cup heroics and his 2017 Masters win. We congratulate Sergio on a career year and wish him all the best for the future.”

Garcia has been linked with a move to Callaway of late after a picture emerged of him testing a Callaway Mack Daddy wedge at the The Grove.  And he has been gaming a Toulon putter, a brand line from Odyssey, who are owned by Callaway.

TaylorMade and their new owners KPS Partners wont be crying too many tears this evening.  Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day and Jon Rahm are all still part of the team as is Tiger Woods, should he return.

Sergio will still be Mister Adidas but watch this space for an announcement from Callaway.
