There's definitely a shift in the rich list coming!  While the usual suspects like Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will continue to earn based on shrewd investments over the years, they are soon set to be joined by Rory McIlroy.

According to Donal Casey, who took over the reigns of Rory McIlroy Management Services Ltd two years ago, Rory's net worth from golf plus endorsements for Nike, Omega, Bose and various computer games manufacturers is now €399.55 million ($422.13m).

Entering 2015 Tiger Woods had earned more than $1.3 billion in his career, with all but $155.8 million of that coming off the course.  If the current figures are accurate, he continues to play well, and his popularity is maintained, McIlroy could well eclipse Woods in the next 10 years.

There's nothing left to do for Rors, except perhaps a Christmas Number One hit single.  According to the guys over at, it might look a bit like this!
