Bryson DeChambeau is subject to an investigation by PGA Tour officials after being caught on camera using a carrot to help read the greens during the final round of The Travelers Championship.

DeChambeau was spotted by TV cameras clearly holding the carrot and touching it off his greens book as if using it to measure or calculate something to give him unfair advantage.

If found guilty of the illegal use of vegetables he could face a six month Tour ban.

TV Evidence Clearly Shows DeChambeau Using a Carrot at The Travelers

"We have a team assessing the alleged rules infraction at the moment," said Chief referee Slugger White. "We all know carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is converted to vitamin A in the body promoting better vision and if by using the carrot with his greens book to see the line of the putt better, Bryson has broken rule 15.2 slash 4 subsection 3 covering "Vegetables as Putting Aids".

For his part, DeChambeau handled the news well.

“It’s a God damn carrot.” DeChambeau said. “They've been around since the about the year 900. I eat them. It’s just funny that people take notice when I start putting and playing well.”

More as it emerges.
