Sporting a new TaylorMade Ardmore mallet putter Tiger Woods posted a solo fourth at the Quicken Loans National but a look through his stats still leave cause for concern.

Tiger. Game is there but putting inside 10 feet still jittery.

Woods finished at 11 under at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm 10 shots back of runaway winner Francesco Molinari even though the pair both had 21 birdies.

“I've hit the ball well in this stretch, I just haven't made anything," Woods said after. "And finally I'm starting to hit some putts, I'm starting to make those putts you're supposed to make from 10, 15 feet, but I'm also making some from outside 20,” Woods said.

“I haven't done that for the better part of two months. So that was nice to make over 100 foot of putts twice this week. That's a positive sign.”

But not all that positive.

For the week Woods missed 13 times from inside 10 feet, dead last in the stats of those who played all four days.

He did however only need a total of 107 putts for the tournament, T7 in the stats.  He was also T7 in the greens in regulation stats, hitting 53 greens.

Once those putts drop, Tiger will be winning again.  Of that nobody is in doubt.
