Doc's Top 5 Each Way Bets (and Draft Kings Picks)

Tiger Woods 28/1

Clearly suffering from  injury at Portrush last time out, Masters champ Tiger hasn't really fired since a T9 at The Memorial. But Woods HAS entered this week, because he knows how to get his ball around Liberty National.  He knows it suits his "still" world beating ball striking skills.  T2 here in 2013 and in 2009, the last two times the playoffs came here.

Justin Thomas 20/1

T12 at the WGC St Jude last time out to go with a T11 at The Open and T9 in Scotland and things are beginning to look up again for JT after a lean spell with the putter.  Top 10'd in the last three stagings of this rotating course tournament and on 43.277 Strokes Gained: Approach he lies second on Tour in the vital stat for his debut at Liberty National.  Converging trends point to a good week IF a few putts drop.

Patrick Cantlay 25/1

Regular season winners seem to come to the fore again in The Playoffs and with just three playoff tournaments this year and what seems an ingenious new scoring system to decide the overall winner at the Tour Championship, Memorial championship Cantlay will be keen to get off to a fast start.  Top 10's in Ridgewood and Glen Oaks the past two seasons and Liberty National should suit his immense ball striking.  T12 last time out at the St Jude should have been better but for a Saturday slip.

Billy Horschel 50/1

Third week in a row tipping Billy and he paid out on a place reduction with a T6 at The Wyndham.  T9 before that at the St Jude and riding a hot putting wave. Liberty National also plays towards Billy's strengths in long par-4 scoring.  T3 last year in Ridgewood.

Jason Kokrak 100/1

T6 last week at the Wyndham and Jason's confidence is bound to be sky high heading to New Jersey.  Lying 6th in Strokes Gained: Approach on the PGA Tour and was T9 the last the event was staged here in 2013.  Each way squeak at 100/1 and 7/1 to finish in the top-10.

Long Odds Glory Shot

Jim Furyk 140/1 saves his best for the season enders and remains a super driver of the golf ball which always gives him a look. Plodding along in the middle order of late but likes the par 71 that is Liberty National. T6 here in 2013.
