It's all change at the WGC Matchplay this year but as always despite what you might read below, I urge you not to lose your shirt on betting this week.  Matchplay is unpredictable, matchplay is surprising and form is as important as how many buttons are on your shirt.

Need To Know Stuff

Starting Wednesday and no longer in that damn desert, every player will play three matches with the top 16 advancing to knockout weekend play.
TPC Harding Park, venue of the 2009 Presidents Cup, is the new host course.
The final three places in the field were taken by Miguel Angel Jimenez, Francesco Molinari and Mikko Ilonen after Luke Donald (best man duties at his brother's wedding), Tim Clark (wrist) and Phil Mickelson (prefers watching it on TV) all withdrew.

Here are all the groups as drawn Monday.

Doc's Predictions

Again stressing this is a non betting week for me, I've had a bit of fun predicting who I think might progress from the 16 groups and beyond.

I'm going for Brooks Koepka to be the Victor Dubuisson of the 2015 tournament and I can see him squaring up against an in form Dustin Johnson in the top half semi final.

Ian Poulter is coming off a statistically brilliant Masters and I think the 2010 winner will have a great week.  Whoever he potentially meets in the other semi final will have come through some mighty battles and I'm saying Patrick Reed could show the world his matchplay prowess and dogged determination to face Poulter.

Beyond that it is anyone's guess, but pre tournament I will go for a Koepka Poulter final but if absolutely forced, I would place an each way wager on these four.

Dustin Johnson 20/1, Brooks Koepka 45/1, Ian Poulter 35/1, Patrick Reed 25/1.

Here's how I foresee the brackets taking shape.
