By now if you had Spieth, Johnson or Day backed pre tournament you still have a great live bet and could be in for a payday.

But if you bet on McIlroy or Rose and are now looking for some sort of long odds hero to save the day, there are still some tempting odds out there.

Here's three possible candidates.

Louis Oosthuizen Score -1, Odds 22/1

Won his Major on the links at St Andrews where the green complexes are huge and only a bit of Bubba magic stoppped him getting a second in Augusta.  Hard to below Louis was +7 after day one; he has gone 66, 66 since and left at least eight gettable putts on the course. Looks like PaddyPower dropped the ball yesterday by leaving his odds at 200/1 for 20 minutes after his putt to go one under par. He was then cut to 45/1. Still solid at 22/1 if he's physically sound again today.

JB Holmes Score -1, Odds 33/1

80/1 before the tournament in my (Long Odds Glory) tips JB still looks value at 33/1 given he's only three back. T17 at Pinehurst in the US Open last year. Winner in Houston earlier this year and revelled in tough tests at Doral and Torrey Pines.  Super pairing with Shane Lowry (himself 25/1 but I dont want to tempt fate!!!) too which he will enjoy.

Charl Schwartzel score: +2 Odds 400/1

Level headed, super ball striker and has the Major pedigree. Improved his score every so far with a 73, 70 and 69 yesterday.  If the leaders come back to par, and this is what the USGA will want today, a solid 68 or 69 posted by the South African could get him into the mix.
