The Under Armour army is coming for Adidas.
This is my prediction. Under Armour want in to the golf equipment business right? Adidas want rid off TaylorMade?  It's a potential win win for both businesses.

German giant Adidas wants to sell off TM to focus on the shoes and clothing side of the business which they see as being less volatile.  Adams and the Ashworth golf shoes and clothing brand, also owned by Adidas, will also be bundled into the sale.

Adidas bought TaylorMade in 1997 for $1.4 billion as part of a deal to also secure skiing giant Salomon, and its golf arm now accounts for about 5 percent of sales. But with the downturn in popularity of golf (closely related to Tiger Woods career dropping off) and sales falling by €0.34 billion euros over the past four years Adidas have called time.

It's the perfect opportunity for Under Armour. But will they pull the trigger?
