Rory McIlroy had planned on spending the next month in and around Dublin for a court case but now that that is done and dusted, his schedule is free and he will tee it up for the time at The Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill next month.

The event ticks all the boxes for Rory; it's at home in Florida, is perfect Masters prep and is a nod to The King who has been trying to get him to compete in the tournament for some time.

"I am very pleased that Rory is going to be playing here," said Palmer. "I have talked to Rory about playing here, and it didn't work into his schedule in the past, but he told me that when it did work into his schedule that he would be here, and he is making good on his word."

Cannot wait for this one!
