Just reading an interview with the man we all thought would be next Ryder Cup captain but ran a mile when it mattered; Paul Azinger.

“If this (news about Davis) is true, I couldn’t be more pleased,” Paul Azinger told the Global Post. “I suggested Davis when I met with Derek Sprague and the PGA of America, in part because he did such a fantastic job at Medinah, but also because I think he provides the perfect bridge between the players, who respect the heck out of him, and the PGA.”

Why, if you are so interested, didn't you take the bloomin job yourself then?

“I had zero interest in being captain in 2016 for a number of reasons, some personal and some professional,” Zinger said.

Would one reason be that the other guys have Rory McIlroy? Or are you taking over from Barack Obama?
