For God sakes guys who in their infinite wisdom thought it would be a great idea to pair Padraig Harrington and Sergio Garcia for the first two rounds of the Irish Open?

I can understand it at the US Open but where pairings are engineered to suit the event it baffles me.

What sort of twisted logic made it seem cool to put Harrington, who is playing in his HOME OPEN, and Garcia, who is only playing in the event as a favour to Rory McIlroy, together?

It makes no sense to jeopardize the chances of either player by having them together. They may say it makes no difference, but we all know it's more difficult when you're golfing with someone who is not your friend.

Let's hope third man Mikko doesn't have to be referee.
