I'm always fascinated at the mammoth operation that goes into staging a Major Championship and this local news report from Chambers Bay gives a pretty good insight.

Thirty days out from the start of the 2015 US Open and Championship Coordinator Danny Sink says they are just tying up loose ends. The course is still open for play (due to close this week) and has that wind beaten hard pan look.

USGA Chief Mike Davis said it would take the winner 10 practice rounds to get the hang of the course to which Rory McIlroy laughed and said "What handicap does he play off!"
