Having suffered from a number of GAA and rugby related ankle injuries myself down the years, I'm not surprised that Rory McIlroy has made it back in time for this week's final Major.

And from the way he's talking now, neither is he.

With precious little else to talk about, the media may have swelled the problem out of proportion.

At his presser Rors said "I mean I went for a 20-minute run this morning...I was going for an hour, two-hour walks maybe two weeks after it happened."

Two hour walks? There's a clue right there!  Then he dealt with the theory that it would be a miracle if he just showed up, cast away the crutches, and won this week.

"Expectation levels are the same. I have played quite a number of rounds of golf. I feel like I'm playing well. I expect to play well."

So do I!
