2015 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship Betting Preview And Tips

Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, Old Course St. Andrews, Carnoustie & Kingsbarns, United Kingdom - Scotland 01 Oct 2015 - 04 Oct 2015.

Doc’s Top 5 Players To Watch At The 2015 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

Martin Kaymer 16/1

The German didn’t advance to the PGA Tour Playoffs but a big end to his season is still a possibility after a solo second (lost a playoff to Rikard Karlberg) in Italy.  Led the greens in regulation stats in Monza but struggled again on the greens.  It has been a super solid season for Kaymer really since his T4 at Paris National and you feel he just needs a good putting week to win.  Winner here in 2010 and T7 in 2013.  Big chance.

Jamie Donaldson 33/1

My spies inside the ropes tell me Jamie discovered something last week in Germany where he finished T5 and I’m betting he’s really looking forward to a week on links in Scotland.  Three top 10’s from 12 starts at the Dunhill Links, but showed his links prowess at Royal Portrush in 2012 in winning the Irish Open.  Has the low ball flight needed for the windy conditions and, if he continues the good form, has a decent shout here.

Shane Lowry 22/1

It was a travesty that Shane’s WGC Bridgestone winning points were not eligible for the PGA Tour Playoffs and that left him off work since the PGA Championship.  Has a busy schedule planned to end the season however starting back this week with an event he has really found the love for of late.  T6 in 2014 and T3 in 2013 and if ring rust is not a factor, Shane could be the man this week.

Danny Willett 25/1

Having contended heroically at the Open Championship this year Danny heads back to Scotland a winner since at the Omega European Masters and just coming off a T3 in Italy.  Went close here in 2012 (T5) and 2010 (solo second) and sure to be confident of his chances.

Branden Grace 18/1

What a year it has been for Branden Grace; I’m amazed at how under the radar he goes.  Along with early season wins at the Alfred Dunhill Links and Qatar Masters, Grace enjoyed an excellent Major season with that ‘oh so close’ T4 at Chambers Bay and solo third at Whistling Straits.  The winner here in 2012 and will quietly fancy his chances of a repeat.
