Emergency services were called to Bear Crack Golf Course in Florida last night after golfer Vijay Singh was found unconscious in a practice bunker on the property.

Suspicions were aroused as to Singh's well being after he failed to turn up at a TaylorMade event at the venue where he was due to get a free driver. A two man search party was hastily arranged.

Vijay Singh Is Recovering After Been Found Unconscious In A Practice Bunker
The popular Fijian was found by a man walking his dog at approximately 8.30pm.  It is thought he may have been in the bunker for up to 16 hours and lost consciousness due to a mixture of boredom and exhaustion.

"He was just there covered in sand lying motionless in the bunker, surrounded by golf clubs and balls," said local resident Martin Gonzales who found Singh. "He was holding an empty bottle labelled Elephant Testicle Jip.  My first reaction was 'oh shit this guy has been shot right in forehead' but then I saw it was actually a birthmark that looked like a bullet mark."

Singh was taken immediately to the Cider Sinus Medical Facility in Miami where he regained consciousness late last night. "I need someone to collect my wedges and those pinnacle practice balls are belonging to me," the 52 year said groggily on waking up. "The all have a blue 'VS' mark on them.  There should be 83 of them in it. Make sure no one takes them."

More as it emerges.
