Jordan Spieth is 8/1 second favourite to win The Masters, but I just cannot see it happening this year. Apart from media obligations as defending champion his game is not exactly where he'd like it to be coming to Augusta. Here's why I think he won't win.

Jordan Spieth with his coach and trackman trying to bed in a new driver.

1. Jordan was T54 and T62 in greens in regulation in his last two PGA Tour starts and for the year to date ranks 164th in greens in regulation. Last year he was 49th.  Including Spieth last four winners of The Masters were in the top-5 greens in regulation.

2. Spieth currently sits 130th in proximity to the hole and at Augusta where hitting the correct area of the green, in windy conditions, that wont cut it on even firmer and slicker greens this year.

3. Spieth cracked the face of his driver yesterday and had to replace it. You might think this is easily done with all the resources players have but it's going to be unsettling at best for Jordan.  He's been using the same head for two years and it took an extended period for him to settle on that head.  He tried several others around that time at the 2014 Tour Championship before finding one that suited.
Spieth was still on the range with his coach Cameron McCormick and trackman late yesterday evening after the Par-3 contest. That's bound to be tough ahead of his early tee time today.

I may be wrong but I just don't see it happening for Jordan this year.

Jordan Spieth cracked his driver and putted like me in the Par-3 yesterday. Deffo going to win so!
