ZIKA Mosquitos. Ruining golf at the moment.
Darren Clarke has withdrawn from the US Open due to fears over the Zika Virus.

The Ryder Cup Captain told a packed press conference that he "Would not take any unnecessary risks  which could compromise his leadership of the European Ryder Cup Team."

Clarke denied that his withdrawal from the second Major of the season is due to the fact that he's playing shite.

“Don't be silly, I'm 100% scared of contracting the virus” Clarke said. "I've heard some of the caddies saying mosquito's carrying Zika have been spotted at Oakmont Country Club and those guys know their viruses."

Clarke did not confirm whether or not he intends to play at Troon next month.

"I'll get some solid practice in then assess the Zika level in Scotland," he said.

More as it emerges.
