Representatives for Rory McIlroy have confirmed a multi-club deal with Callaway including driver, irons and an Odyssey putter for 2017.  McIlroy is set to unveil the new equipment at the South Africa Open on January 12th.

Rory McIlroy will use Callaway's Epic Sub Zero driver in 2017.

The news comes as a shock after the Northern Irishman seemed to be moving into the TaylorMade camp after a successful spell with the M2 driver and woods in late 2016 when his Nike contract became void.

In a massive coup for Callaway McIlroy will game the yet to be released Callaway Epic Sub Zero driver, a set of custom made Callaway Apex MB irons and an Odyssey putter thought to be similar in make up to that used by Phil Mickelson.

McIlroy will also move back to the Titleist Pro V1x ball, just months after declaring he had enough Nike balls kept in safe keeping for the next number of years.

Here's what we know will be in McIlroy's bag in 2017.

Driver: Callaway Epic Sub Zero
Woods: TaylorMade M2
Irons: Callaway Apex MB (custom)
Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM6
Putter: Odyssey with prototype insert
Ball: 2017 Titleist Pro V1x

More as it emerges.
