Just hours after the completion of the Safeway Open on the PGA Tour wildfires ripped through Silverado Resort in California.

The entire resort was evacuated as hospitality tents and cars caught fire and immediately burned to the ground.
Tour Players including Patton Kizzire, Kyle Thompson, and Maverick McNealy were still at the resort and had to be evacutaed.

"I smelled smoke, the power flickered and I heard some yelling outside the room so I went to check," said Kyle Thompson. "I saw the entire horizon of the mountains on fire and the wind was pumping from that direction. I sprinted back to the room and grabbed my 1-year-old from his crib."

Apart from tents and other damage to trees and vehicles, no serious injuries were reported and Silverado's resort building were deemed intact following the fires.

Mandatory evacuations however were still in place yesterday.
