Honma have Justin Rose on  a mega money multi year contract since 2019 to use their clubs so using a TaylorMade SIM driver last week and showing up to the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week without a single Honma club in the bag must be a real kick in the nuts for the Japanese company.

Granted Rose has flexibility in his contract to use other brands, the freedom to use his Axis putter being key to actually signing with Honma, but when he arrived at Bay Hill yesterday there was not one single Honma club to be seen.

The first signs of a crack came last week at PGA National where Rose used a TaylorMade SIM driver instead of his 'new' Honma TR20 driver.

Pics of Rose's bag at Bay Hill, show TaylorMade P730 irons replacing his contracted Honma TR20B irons, TaylorMade fairways, and Titleist, Wilson and TaylorMade wedges. The Axis1 Golf Rose putter was also in there.
